These guys are rad. They remind me of the Deviates and Pennywise und shtuff. With the Pennywise sounding bands there is always the variant in vocal tonality and perspective; The Deviates and 1208 each are like an awesome, new issue, of "Pennywise Monthly" that any Pennywise fan would be hella stoked to receive.

Years ago I saw these guys at an Iron Man Surf comp in Hermosa Beach. I followed them living in the area. This was a 4th of July, for anyone who has been in the South Bay on the 4th you know how fun it is. Iron Man surf consists of swimming, surfing, running a few blocks up to a house where they drink a 6 pack of beer on a volleyball court while 1208 was playing. At 10am. Tons of people there. Cops watching laughing. So fun. It was somewhere in the 2002-2004 range. The rest of that day was incredible as well. Jose Canseco pushed me on the ground when I stood in front of him on the strand and said "jose canseco!" He was booed after he cast me aside. Went to a 5 keg party at a house that faced the street close to the pier owned by some college buddies. Partied all day. Went to a party in Palos Verdes till 3am. Woke up in a lifeguard tower in Hermosa with a beautiful girl. If I ever have a "Groundhog day" I hope that is the day i relive over and over and over and over again.
