I've been listening to Nina for some time now. technically, its spelled vodou or vodon.. the Europeans added the two extras O's for effect (ooooo, as in scary, dark, bad) I don't know much about her personal life but her music speaks loud and clear to me. The biopic of her coming out is a tragedy but that's Hollywood

Thanks for posting. This is simply one of the top ten all-time best pieces of music ever... no one knew where to go like Mingus knew... no one ever got so much out of his players. Ysabel's Table Dance isn't like anything else.

unfortunately most people never have the chance since our culture does not revere its own art so they dont even know the great name Mingus. blus n roots,black saint,ah um ,ect...check out the intro of freedom at the townhall concert..the horns are overpoweringly awesome..coltrane is my fav..Ole!
