At last!!! I remember listening to this song on the radio thirty years ago; I did not know the tittle or the name of the band; but the music lingered in my memory. And, today at last, I have just been able to find it here (searching with Google - "I Want" "but I'm asking" - and presto!!!!!). Thank you, thank you.

Superb. And I thought they were a one hit wonder. Really surprising that they didn't do more in the UK, perhaps 'Vic' wasn't the best choice for 1st single, given Britain's disdain for 'novelty' records. 'She Blinded Me With Science' had the same effect on Thomas Dolby's career. Great, tight band though, very impressive. I'm not a drummer but he looks pretty sharp. Thanks for another excellent YT posting.

"I Want" was the 3rd Dept S single. Solid Gold Easy Action was the B-Side of 'Vic'. This single was a European Number 1.
