You go to my head
You go to my head,
And you linger like a haunting refrain
And I find you spinning round in my brain
Like the bubbles in a glass of champagne.
You go to my head
Like a sip of sparkling burgundy brew
And I find the very mention of you
Like the kicker in a julep or two.
The thrill of the thought
That you might give a thought
To my plea casts a spell over me Still I say to myself: get a hold of yourself
Can’t you see that it can never be?
You go to my head
With smile that makes my temperature rise
Like a summer with a thousand Julys
You intoxicate my soul with your eyes
Tho I’m certain that this heart of mine
Hasn’t a ghost of a chance in this crazy romance,
You go to my head.
Diana Krall is one of the best jazz singers in my era. Anthony Wilson, Jeff Hamilton and John Clayton make it one of the best jazz quartets in my era. I go back to the 1940s jazz era.
I love Your singing! Why the negative?Amy Winehouse, darn such a low & sexy voice, miss Her.Really glad We have Her music to remember her by.What was it that put Amy over the edge-something like this& one of My alltime favorites Karen Carpenter-I still wonder what put Her over the edge?So many ways to sing,Your so laid back &Oh "So Nice".My favorite video of alltime is" Quiet Nignts" beautyful Lady&scenery. Thanks again for the terrific music. Always On Your Side(Sheryl Crow). Lots of Love & Prayer
I haven't always loved Dianna Kralls songs for some reason. But I ADORE!!!! this. What a gorgeous, Super talented, and seemingly really easy going woman.
No wonder the long roving Elvis Costello married her...
What an incredibly fine version of a classic song. Superb voice and delivery with sub-tones as beautiful as a saxophone, the highest compliment a sax player can pay a voicalist. :)
