I want to say 1965 but it could of been a few years past (66 or 67). Regardless a timeless classic. Rare air play on AM radio. The song is hypnotic for the time period. You must remember that during this time the "British Invasion" would put the Do Wop song in the shadows. Sad but musical change would be inevitable during that period. Some die hard "Do Woppers" would still try to retain their reign & hold on this musical style. This song is a treasure for Four Seasons fans they were our hometown NYC "Fab Four" of that time. Music that you could enjoy & feel good with the girl you liked or dated at that time. Peace 2 ya who remember that fabulous time of the 4 Seasons.

1 THING IS 4 SURE,THE SEASONS COULD NEVER BE ACCUSED OF NOT TRYING TO CHANGE WITH THE MUSIC AS THE SIXTIES CLOSED OUT.WE WERE TO STONED TO HEAR THEM.I REALIZE THAT NOW. YES I SAID WE YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

Whatever Frankie performed, He made better. I was blessed to have the belief of Frankie, Bob Gaudio and their producer Bob Crewe, in the beginning of my songwriting career. These gifted and visionary geniuses, jump started my musical life by making hits out of my songs.

Their music takes me back to my teenage years. God I would love to be able to go back to that time. But then I would have to back to work for another 40 years. I well just reminisce right here an the computer instead.

The group had many good songs late 60's-early 70's, but never got airplay. Besides this cut: And That Reminds Me, Patch of Blue, The Night, Hickory. They also had the orig versions of: Sun Ain't Gonna Shine anymore (written by Crew& Gaudio) and solo: Native New Yorker (written by Linzer & Randall) which both became big hits.

милашка !!!

I remember when this song first came out. I lived in Detroit and they were in town and did this song in person on the TV show Swingin' Time with Robin Seymore. I say "in person" but it was the group lip syncing to the record. It was WAY too orchestrated for them to try it live. Possibly this one was the groups idea of trying to get "psychedelic" (hence the picture sleeve). Anyway, I loved it and went out and bought it. Think I was the only one in Detroit who did! It was on the WKNR & CKLW charts for MAYBE two weeks, if that! But still a great song.

This seems to be more of an obscure song for the Four Seasons, but I think it is a classic. It has that signature Four Seasons sound. I come from the same town and section where Frankie Valli and Tommy Devito used to live. One block from where Devito lived and two blocks from where Valli lived. They represent our town. I've been a fan since the 60's.
