This is my all-time favorite jazz track from my favorite jazz artist. It reminds me of those balmy evenings in Hermosa Beach at The Lighthouse Cafe and listening to great music, especially from The Gerald Wilson Band.
Real Jazz that deliver a gold touch of big band sound The Great Gerald Wilson Orchestra that would pour it on in a Latin Jazz feel. So many great jazz artist came from this band Harold Land Roy Ayers Joe Pass who also played for Nancy Wilson on her showcases.
Unbelievable song. I have loved and enjoyed this song for over 50 years and it still remains fresh. Great, great, great music. And no, they don't make songs like this anymore. Merely my opinion.
RIP my friend. Still have all your music, but not the same as going to Marty's on The Hill or Monterey to see and hear you. Memories, I've got quite a few. Thanks for all you gave.
So funny to finally realize that this song and my last name...OMG Always loved me some hot cool jazz that lead me to the doors of FANIA ALL STARS and such. I just listened to a 9 min long rendition of JOE BATAAN'S "I wish you love" Going to be a great day, as I keep finding more and more of these gems.
