You’re breakin' my heart
You’re tearing it apart
So fuck you
All I want to do
Is have a good time
Now I’m blue
You won’t boogaloo
Run down to Tramps
Have a dance or two — ooh!
You’re breakin' my heart
You’re tearing it apart
But fuck you
You’re breakin' my heart
You’re tearing it apart, boo-hoo
You stepped on my ass
You’re breakin' my glasses, too
You won’t drive my car
Might not a star
I’ve had enough of you
I’m goin' insane
There’s no one to blame
So fuck you
You’ve gotta have your way
There’s nothing left to say
There’s nothing left to do, ooh
You’re breakin' my heart
You’re tearing it apart
So fuck you!
You’ve gotta have your way
There’s nothing left to say
There’s nothing left to do, oh
You’re breakin' my heart
You’re tearing it apart
But I love you
I remember my Dad playing this song and Take 54 for me when I was a teenager and I got such a kick out of them. 20 years later this popped into my head and I so needed to hear it!
i remember this song from my years gone by, i tell some of the kids i work with now about it and they think imlying....so glad it its here. thanks for posting...!!!
Yuri, Harry was anything but 'wholesome' and I say that with all the lovingness of Nilsson there is. This song was released after his divorce from wife no. 1 and was sung by George Harrison and Ringo Star at Harry's request over his grave. Gotta love Harry.
It is the most requested, but never played song in radio history...or so the story goes. (History lesson: Yes, there was a time when Disc Jockeys took requests from listeners and actually played some of them.) :-))
I loveeee yela wolf ,I wish I could see him in person. I’ve read the reviews and they all say the same ‘He doesn’t get the recognition he deserves, he will and does from me and a lot of people. I just love them ( i wish I was younger) lol.
I cant remember the first time i ever heard this song, i was in my mid teens i think and at that age it blew me away and i just thought it was great and i have enjoyed listening to it to this day , im 59 now .
lots of people say that when you curse too much it loses its effect. back in the 70s it was unheard cussing in a record let alone someone as wholesome as Harry Nilsson and this song coming from him proves how powerful my favorite word which is Fuck is lol
Many years ago, I was an overnight DJ at an Album Rock station in the Midwest. I pulled some shenanigans on the air, that eventually led to the station and I parting ways.. Knowing I was about to get canned, I played this song. What the frak, they couldn't fire me twice. RIP Harry!
