“Honeycomb” was written by Bob Merrill in 1954. The best selling version was sung by Jimmie Rodgers and charted in the Billboard Top 100 in 1957.“oh oh, I’m Falling in Love Again” was written by Al Hoffman, Dick Manning, Hugo Peretti and Luigi Creatore and published in 1958. The best selling version was sung by Jimmie Rodgers and hit the charts in 1958.Both songs sound so much alike because they were sung by the same singer ( Rodgers ) and were more than likely accompanied by the same musicians. Two great songs from the first years of the great Rock & Roll Era.
