I think before MGMT used to be classified as different genres and that's why they weren't that happy with their songs and people called them stuff that MGMT themselves didn't want to be called but now this is totally what MGMT can be known for and the people that like MGMT will love them for this. Not to say that the old albums are bad I love them all but I think MGMT pulls out their distinct sound and what influences they really wanted in their music in this album.
