This is the the sound that made me fall in love with Ranger. In an album that is mostly Hard Rock cracks that prove that Ranger can still rock, this ballad to me is, for what I've listened to from the album, and I've gone through the album from track to track at this point, and made it up to this point, the most iconic representation of the sounds that made Ranger famous back in the 80s. Songs kind of like "When You Close Your Eyes" that start soft and then get harder with progression. That, for me, is the Ranger sound that I love. That's not the spit on songs like "Don't Tell Me You Love Me", or any of the other songs from this album, but, from a man who enjoys Rangers ballad just as much as they are hard rock tracks, this album was a little less balanced than I would have liked. Still not a bad album, by any means, though. The fact they're still putting out music at all is miraculous. And coming from someone who fell in love with Night Ranger in 2010, when they were 12, I love that even at my age, that Night Ranger is still putting out music. However, even given that, I just wish there were a few more ballads on this album.
