It’s a shame, the love you gave him
Somehow went to waste
He took you for granted
'Cause you gave him space
It’s OK, dry your eyes
I know his love is on a shelf
For someone else
From my point of view it looks real good
'Cause I want you for myself
Why don’tcha
Look into my eyes
See into my mind
Feel the energy
Surging electricity
Step into my space
Let it take control
Feel love in your heart
Feel love in your soul
I could see it comin' blow by blow
I can recall every shot
Seeing the look in eyes
When they met I said
This man don’t want what he’s already got
Take a chance and let me Prove myself to you
Sho’nuff give you what you need
Standing on the sideline
All this time, I see
The love you need, gotta be deep
Take a chance and give
Your love to me Go 'head, go 'head
You’ll find my love is deep
Take a chance and give
Your love to me Go 'head, go 'head
You’ll find my love is deep
Why don’tcha
Look into my eyes
See into my mind
Feel the energy
Surging electricity
Step into my space
Let it take control
Feel love in your heart
Feel love in your soul
Take a chance and give
Your love to me Go 'head, go 'head
You’ll find my love is deep
You talking about a great band that really stayed under the radar, but those that loved the funk the soul, jazz, know what this is about. I had the pleasure of seeing them perform live in San Jose CA, in the early 80's, my ears were ringing for weeks the funk was so strong.
One of Portland Oregon's finest had the Pleasure of meeting and hanging with the Hepburn brothers years ago in Seattle when the were working with some friends of mine. Bruce Carter is one of the tightest drummers that ever lived RIP! Had the Pleasure of standing right over his shoulder at a club in Portland on my 21st birthday watching him do his thing!
Yeah Pleasure! That's some tight deep bass pluckin' - - years ago a young caucasian student of the bass asked me to recommend some good challenging bassline music for him to practice. I forgot to tell him about Pleasures tunes.
I heard these guys in my home town of. ROCHESTER NY THEY PUT ON A serious show with less then 300 people there. Glide was the jam I was so impressed I bought the album the next day true professionals thx
ONLY REAL MUSIC LOVERS KNOW ABOUT PLEASURE. ONE OF THE CLASSIEST JAZZ/FUNK BANDS EVER. NATHANAEL PHILLIPS IS ONE OF THE BEST BASS PLAYERS YOU'LL EVER HEAR AND THEIR DRUMMER IS OFF THE HOOK. AND DON'T FORGET ABOUT GUITAR PLAYER MARLON "MAGIC" McCLAIN. GO HEAD, TAKE A CHANCE!!!
