My mom loved Ray Conniff and I grew up in the 70s listening to him and his chorus, I had never seen him before now and it pretty funny to look back at now.
I like this music as it is both elegant and makes one happy. Ray danced as he directed the orchesta proving he really felt the music. Great to hear and so superior to what passes for music today. As one of his records say's: "It's Wonderful"
One of his very best. In the late 50's and early 60's this guy was No 1 at my local dance hall (The Mecca ) in Leeds and has stuck with me ever since. His LP's (as they were known then) S'Wonderful and S'Marvelous were the best sellers around that time. Good days but I still have them in my head !
