I played this song to my girl friend the night before I went into the Navy in 1961 and it still holds a very dear spot in my heart.  We broke up after a couple years but remained in touch and talk about how important this song was to both of us then and still is one of THE GREATEST memories...

The movie House brought me here. Can't think of a better song to dismember a monster too.

I taught a female doctor whose name was Shirelle.  I asked her where she got the name and she didn't know.  She had never heard of the Shirelles (in 2001).  She asked her grandmother, and sure enough.  So I gave her a CD of the Shirelles and she fell in love with the music.

Song written by Lowman Pauling and Ralph Bass which was a hit for The "5" Royales (1957), The Shirelles (1959) and The Mamas & the Papas (1967)...  Great song. Oldies bring back many a memory...
