I’ll never understand why this band wasn’t at least as well known or appreciated as Echo & The Bunnymen were. This entire album is just as strong and consistent as any one of Echo’s first 4 albums are. Don’t get me wrong... Echo is one of my all time favorite bands, but The Sound were right up there on the same level. If there were any justice at all in this world, both The Sound and Echo & The Bunnymen would have been bigger than U2.

Damn right Carlos, first heard them on Top of the Pops way back when, filled a gap left by Joy Division in my life at the time, glad to have thought to look for them on the tube, now to look on discogs for some vinyl :-)
