Workin' this job ain’t payin' the bills
Sick and tired rat race takin' my thrills
Kickin' down the road not a dime in my pocket
Nightime falls and I’m ready to rock it
CHORUS
I need a shot of gasoline
I’m hittin' one sixteen
I get so hot I see steam
Forget the day 'cause we’re gonna scream
Night songs
Howl into the light singin'
Night songs
Makes the day right
Night songs
Raise your glass take a bite
Night songs
Ridin' to the east and ridin' to the west
Sleepin' all day but never get a rest
Lookin' at the time stand still it ain’t right
Livin' for the moment time to get it tight
CHORUS
I need a shot of gasoline
I’m hittin' one sixteen
I get so hot I see steam
Forget the day 'cause we’re gonna scream
Night songs (13x)
Cinderella was such an underrated band when they first came on the scene. They were great live, and the music great and lyrics that meant something. Hell of a lot better than the garbage people crank out today that's for sure.
Cinderella was the most br00tuhl "glam metal" band of all. Just listen to that opening doom riff. Tom Keifter's vocals are are harsher than the croaking and shrieking of a lot of those corpse-painted black metal wimps too. He can do that shit and actually hit notes. Real Metal™
"Workin' this job and paying the bills. Sick and tired of rat race takin' my thrills" Oh, how I can relate to that!! This is one Kick Ass Song by Cinderella. '80's had some great bands, such as Cinderella, Motley Crue, Ratt, Poison, Great White, Metallica, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Dio, Whitesnake, Skid Row, Dokken, Van Halen, and many others!!
HEAVY METAL RULES!!!
This is REAL MUSIC!!!
Cinderella Rocked the 80's!!!
Other bands that rocked the 80's are as follows:
Motley Crue, Dokken, RATT, Quiet Riot, Great White, W.A.S.P., Black Sabbath, Dio, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Rush, AC/DC, Van Halen, Guns N' Roses, KEEL, Warrant, Leatherwolf, White Lion, KISS, just to name a few.
I am not really a fan of glam metal, but I freaking love this band and its a shame that people criticize them for their glam look. Despite it, they sound amazing. And this album is one of the greatest to come out of the 80's.
Saw Dokken, Slaughter, Cinderella, Poison. Dokken had sound issues and left after 3 songs, the drummer for Slaughter had a stomach virus and they left. Cinderella came on and played almost 2 hours non stop. By the time they got ready to leave the crowd was chanting "fuck poison". That's how good they were live. O and this is the song they opened with :)
