When Greg Lake was in voice, he could ... well, look at him at 0:18. Nothing to back him up -- no bass, no keyboards, no guitar, no backup vocalists -- and he carries the entire performance, all by himself. Hits the note perfectly, holds it for exactly the right time, breath control, phrasing, intonation, emotion ... and it's in his upper register, not the middle of his range. Throws back to Keith, and then it's another solo passage. He's carrying it all on just his voice.

So beautiful and one of my favorites. Greg Lake was such a talented guitarist!! Truly wonderful. Keith and Carl were equally talented. But Greg was always so under rated as a guitarist, bassist, songwriter and producer. Look at him play this piece. This isn't simple!! It takes a musician of amazing talent to play it. Not to mention he has a beautiful choirboy voice and was extremely easy on the eyes!!

Weep not for the going of Greg and Keith, rejoice that you lived at the same time they created this music with the blessed Carl Palmer.

Greg Lake has the voice of an angel. In the collective of E.L.P. there is no weak link, each member is superb in their own field of musical instruments. There is no other band who comes near the perfection this trio created. Sadly missed R.I.P. Greg and Keith.

Not human. Greg came from a far star in the universe. Now he is back in that star, surrounded by the sky.
