I remember when I was about 15 years old back in 2005 when I first heard Heaven Shall Burn. The moments where Olafur Arnalds string and piano compositions played I remembered something awaken inside of me. It was the first time in my life that music pulled at something deep inside of me. It was the first time I was able to actually FEEL something through music... not just hear it...but rather listen. I remember the adrenaline rush during the HSB song, and then the quieting moment that would make me close my eyes and experience the feeling of calmness, sadness, and peace once Olafur came in. These were moments I will never forget. They were pivotal in my listening experience with music. These moments meant so much to me. Thank you so much for making this compilation.
this songs let my spirit fly. Brilliant, silent compositions. And in cooperation with the loud tracks of HSB is it a genius contrast between metalcore and classic ambient.
Metal has a very strong connection to classical music, and gets a lot of inspiration of it.
But a real listener of music, is able to like or respect other genres than their main genre. And you own this skill, because you can listen to other tracks than "hardcore" and also love that.
