Beat-up little seagull on a marble stair
Tryin' to find the ocean, lookin' everywhere
Hard times in the city, in a hard town by the sea
Ain’t nowhere to run to, there ain’t nothin' here for free
Hooker on the corner, (corner) waiting for a train
Drunk lying on the sidewalk, sleeping in the rain
And the people hide their faces (faces) as they hide their eyes (hide their eyes)
Cause the city’s dyin' and they don’t know why
Cause they don’t know why
Oh, Baltimore, ain’t it hard just to live?
Oh, Baltimore, ain’t it hard just to live?
Just to live
Get my sister Sandy and my little brother Ray
Buy a big old wagon to haul us all away
I Live out in the country where the mountain’s high
I’m never gonna come back here 'till the day I die
Oh, Baltimore, ain’t it hard just to live?
Oh, Baltimore, ain’t it hard just to live?
Just to live
Just to live
No its hard to live in the city, hey, Oh
We’re gonna make it somehow, hey
Just believe
We’re gonna make it somehow, Uuhhh
Hard living in the city, City Uuhhh, Oohhh
Jazmine is only growing and becoming more and more accomplished vocally and musically as an artist. This track shows how far you have come artistically! wow.

If you're from Baltimore and you listen to this, it has to give you crazy chills. You can see every word she sings because you've lived it and probably still are. You can feel it in your soul. Not gonna lie it made me tear up yo.
This is an amazing rendition. One thing I know about doing renditions is that you worry and hope and pray that you do the song justice; that you do something the original singer would be proud of. Jazmine should rest assured that she did the song justice, and Ms Nina would be proud! Amazing
But then again, with her tone and range, I have come to expect nothing less from Jazmine! Well done
3:52 - 3:58 gave me so much life!!! Jazmine is so underrated and so many people sleep on her! Get some Jazmine SOULivan in ya life! Her voice is silky gold man...jeeez!! throws hands lmao
