You’ve come to tell me girl, that I must walk away from love.
Give up all my love for you, a love I’ve had for so long.
I can’t let you walk away without calling out your name.
Telling you I need you girl, how can you leave me baby
Let’s say goodbye tomorrow
Wait one more day before you break my heart
Just give me 20−24 hours honey
One happy day before you break my heart
Oooh baby
In the name of love, I’ve asked you girl, please stay here one more day
Don’t say you can’t give me a chance, I can find a way
Show you that it’s wrong of you, to say you want to leave
I’m the love you looking for, girl you can find in me… so
Let’s say goodbye tomorrow
Wait one more day before you break my heart
Just give me 24 hours honey
One happy day before you break my heart
Do I have to beg?
Do I have to cry?
Do I have to get down on my knees and ask you why?
Oh,
If I haven’t changed your mind, please let me try once more
To put sweet love into your heart, the way it was before
Put yourself in my place girl and understand a pleading man
And remember the love,
The way it was
Help me save it if we can
They shelfed this song because it sound to much like a Temptation song another original of David Ruffin. The truth is that they wanted this song to stay in the vault for eternity.
I Grew up in Jamaica..I was introduced to David Ruffin, The Temptations by my first cousin Joseph he went off to school...Michigan State University...I was a young boy trying to find my way like a twinkling Bee...experincing girls, heartbreak and the first kiss..but David Ruffin took me to another dimension..his songs were theraputic and soothing RIP Mr David Ruffin
Why Motown you don't shelve this kind of song. You should have separated the man from his problems outside of your studio just like you did with the others who had drug problems.
I know we all love Leon in the Temps movie.. but this man needs a good, true movie about his life and music. he's got too good a story, and too many good songs that have to be heard
Wha tcan i say, or anyone for that matter, this was Mr. Motown.....his voice alone really open the door that push Motown to it's peak......can i get a amen!!!!!
David Ruffin had something above and beyond in his voice… He was a Soul Singing, Bad To The Bone King!!! His voice was Smooth with the Roughness… Sing In Peace Brother Ruffin…
