John was born in Glasgow Scotland. He is half Irish, half Scottish. His family immigrated to Canada when he was about 10 years old.

when i was in 3rd grade our music teacher taught the choir this song. Sadly i could not hold a tune so i was not in the choir however this song resonates with me and always bring me back to being 9 yr old. Music / song is very powerful reference point in our lives
