Its not so much the fingers...but the lightning fast thought process he possesses.

Don't know why Al Stillman is mentioned here as composer since there are no lyrics; on my sheet music it has "Words by Al Stillman". I'll keep looking for a version with the words sung...

This trio combination has a marvelous mix of rock steady tempo, swing, space, and chops.  This is great organ trio counterpart to the Oscar Peterson trio of the same era: OP, Herb Ellis, Ray Brown.

I would like to point out, but correct me if I am wrong, that the original composer is just Ernesto Lecuona, the Cuban. I am a fan of his. This track is from the Andalucia Suite. Words were added for a US version, which may be Stillman's - dunno - but there is no singing in this, so there are no co-composing rights. This claim about Stillman should have been mentioned on the album liner notes.

i would much rather listen to Wes Montgomery than all the shredder guitarists, those shredders do my head in, Wes Montgomery is the perfect guitarist

That is also my preference. I would suggest if you are not already, transcribe some of his solos by yourself (as in work the notes out etc without just downloading a transcription from the net) if you have time. I did that for about 3 solos when I was young and that stuff still sticks with me, mainly his melodic intention, swing and linear structure. Brilliant jazz guitarist and musician. Good luck with your music!
