I showed this to my college-age students the other day and said "This was MY generation's Justin Bieber."
They went nuts!
"Who are they?"
"They are so sexy?"
"That's a really good song!"
"Do they tour?"
"They don't use autotune!"
It was a blast! I'm doing my part!
They were just like Bieber except for a few things: 1. They had musical and songwriting talent. 2. They had diversity in their sound. 3. They could make you weep and then make you rock. 4. Their music is timeless. 5. Les could sing without any voice correcting.
I'm sure that everyone has their favourite of The Bay City Rollers... For me, that was Eric! My favourite part of this video is about 1:42 to 1:52 or so! Always loved Eric's shorts, too, but his musical talent with guitar playing (& other instruments)! Many people seem to think of "Saturday Night" whenever they think of The Bay City Rollers, but I love this song way more!!!
Cool song - aren't these guys magic when performing together, even when things aren't going great? Just love it, even after all these years. Thanks for posting it.
