Victor recorded this marvelous woman, seems to me there are records of their artists from a dates as "late as 1928 and 1929". Someone tried to piece her life together based on the lyrics in her songs, none of which were ever covered by other artists and presumed to be her original compositions. Incindentally the pianist (KC Johnson) is, I am sure, the accompanist to the bizarre Bobby Cadillac song "Carbolic Acid Blues" - another series of violent choruses. I will try to locate and upload it.
