Just seen a Documentary on the TV yesterday for this Band. Man they had it going on, glad I NOW know of them.

Half these views during these last 3 days were unapologetically mine .

Like Moby Grape, Arthur Lee and Love, and The Gettysburg Address before them, Big Star was just too damn awesome for even the highest common denominator ears, minds, hearts and souls of those times to embrace and make a place for. Wicked, disturbing bad luck.

This is the greatest song ever written. It makes Dylan look like the joke that he is. The Beatles wished they could write something this magical. Day In The Life? GARBAGE. And Your Bird? GARBAGE. Let It Be? GARBAGE. Lennon himself in Rolling Stone said that this is the greatest song ever written. So did McCartney. So did Dylan. Same with Brian Wilson, whose opinion is meaningless.
