Not to take anything from Billie Jo, but songs like this (and she had her share) received a lot of airplay because they were such upbeat, happy wake-up pieces. Jocks love this kind of stuff in the morning. Not to mention songs that are short and allow them to yak and play more commercials. When I was in country radio, I noticed numerous up-tempo songs receiving far more airplay in the AM than some other songs that were bigger hits but downers.
