I remember first hearing this at about 14 or 15 years old, a few years after I was first diagnosed with major depression and a bit suicidal. I remember this song helping me try to fight back the depression by trying not to feel too sorry for myself and try to use the depression in expressive ways, my forming my own punk band. The energy of the song always lifted my spirits, even though it's very dark.

There was a time in my life where I considered myself to be the angriest man on the planet. I was the most positive guy you'd ever meet. But one random day I guess I finally just snapped and woke up completely torn. For weeks, I was filled with utter rage and intent. I was young, broke(nhearted), pissed, and just the very definition of a ballistic jealous ball of sadness. I refused to ever let a single tear out, until I heard this. I just let myself go for a brief moment and pat myself on the back. Determined to get things better. To this day, no one ever knew about it.
