Rumor has it that some people actually drank beer and smoked pot listening to BOA. Could that possibly be true??!

This may not sound like much today, but was considered "Blow your mind music" back in the early 70's by all the squares...........

I've never listened to BOA. I'm just going through all the songs that Beastie Boys sampled on Paul's Boutique, which the 30th anniversary of its release is coming up. I really dig the change at 1:16. Also, the singer's raspiness reminds me a bit of Lemmy Kilmister's, or vice versa.

Every now and then I have to play a BOA song -- to get me back to my "nitty shitty" roots when I was a young, pot-smoking hippie freak. Hippiedom was such a wondrous, self-righteous time. Nothing has changed for me except that I'm now in my sixties not my twenties and life is still wondrous because of my attitude. Long live BOA. Rock on.

I had this on 8 track in the 70's. You had to get the matchbook shim just right or it was distorted and sounded like you were on an acid trip. At least that's what I was told lol.
