As a boy growing up in the seventies, while me and my brother watched Saturday morning cartoons my dad listened to those Saturday morning country music shows on the kitchen radio featuring local bands. The one group always began their show with this song(in instrumental form) as there theme. What memories.

What a fine recording of this genre-defining song! Thanks for posting. (Did I hear Eldon Shambling?)

Now I know where Tejano Music got their style of guitar playing;  using 2nd part harmony notes, to the bass lines.

I was only around my great Uncle Bob a few times when I was very young. I wish I would have had a chance to get to know him and maybe have learned a few licks from him. Uncle Bob is still the King!
