I've heard lots of well known guitarists say that they were influenced by Django, but I don't hear any of them coming close to the nuance and mastery of acoustic guitar soloing showcased on this recording. The may be fast and have a better knowledge of scales and arpeggios, but they don't have Django's precise touch and vibrato.
