Frank Zappa was so ahead of everything back in performing days, can you imagine the things he could have accomplished had he lived into the millenium with all today's technological gains? The man was a genius and will always be a legend. RIP Frank Zappa!
Frank was the best! I met Dwezle and he was so cool and down to earth after show with Zappa does Zappa. He come out front for meet and greet. Has the most piercing blue eyes I ever seen and has all Frank's licks perfect. If you ever have chance He is a must see!
Was listening to this and thinking: I'm listening to Stairway to Heaven with all its epicness, played by amazing artists, and laughing my ass off at the same time because these guys are so damn funny, pretty awesome imo :) hehe
ok, line up from right to left: Ike Willis, Steve Vai (i think, it's so hard to see) Zappa, Scott Thunes; Backstage: the horn section of that time usually consisted of: Bruce Fowler, Walt Fowler, Kurt McGettrick, Albert Wing and Paul Carmen. Chad Wackerman is the drummer and Ed Mann on percussion. hope it helps some.....
to cicliste c; this version isn t made to please you or anyone. you need to understand point of view of zappa. his sense of respect is a bit different from the sens of respect of the queen of england, still he respect most music he interpret from johnny cash to the beatles, but also he can see the ridicule in rock and like to mock at what he probably respect the most " music" zappa is one of the greatest composer of or time , and i don t think america fully recognise this genius ' maybe one day they will and his text and song will be analyse in english litterrature, even in philosophy.
Ike. There is a reason He stayed with Frank as a constant through so many iterations of the band. Drummers, guitarists, bassists, horn sections came and went but Ike Willis stayed. One of the greatest voices to grace any genre of music.
