He can take the hat off for all I care.  Two Doors Down & I Sang Dixie are two of the saddest damn songs ever written.  Also Dwight Yoakam delivered perfectly in the movie Panic Room.  Had me laughing hysterically.  Not because he did badly but because he delivered on a character meaner than the dickens.  That's what made me laugh..BECAUSE HE DID SO WELL AND I GET HIM.

I don’t know what impresses me more........the fact that he wrote such an amazing song, or that he sings it so perfectly, and makes it sound effortless. I could listen to it all day!

To be quite honest, I avoid country music cause it's such a slave to formula these days. I LOVE Dwight's music though. It makes my heart swell with joy to know that he's out there somewhere, making great music for all true country fans.

He truly is an under appreciated musician. A great portion of his songs are very deep, well written and his voice/style is unmistakable.

Nobody is more country than Dwight. He sings a true life experience for too many people. Ain't it just to sad?
