I’m feeling so confused today
It seems they’ve changed the rules again
Cos in my life I’m trying hard
To do it all so I can remain
Healthy and sane
I’ll live forever
Always one more tomorrow
Living forever
Always one more tomorrow
I heard it on the radio
Too much of what they said wasn’t so
And now we’ve got to do those things
That they brought before were so wrong
To be healthy and strong
And live forever
Always one more tomorrow
Living forever
Always one more tomorrow
I know we don’t need you
I know we don’t believe you
You don’t really have the answer
You think you know better
You think it really matters
You just want to rule over everybody’s lives
I think I’ll change my life today
Gone are the times of taking care
And I don’t need a reason why
All I need is all in a day survive in a way
Or just till tomorrow
Always one more tomorrow
Living forever
Do you really want to live forever
I'm from Athens Greece, i listen to music a lot, and i have to say that all the
bands that i like are from England.. Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Deep purple, Black Sabbath, Jethro tull, Rolling stones, Led zepellin and Iron maiden, Saxon, Motorhead as a child... I'm sure i don't remember something else right now. U.K. rules..
3:04 - that's where the song really starts for me - getting better and better. The last glimpse of the real, epic, awesome Genesis I love. The best bit of the whole albnum for me. I was so disappointed with that album. Sure: "Invisible Touch" was worse - but that wasn't the glorious comeback of Geneses. "I can't Dance" WTF!!!???
To AngusRocker22 -- Good band?!?! Genesis is the BEST G-damned band in the world!! I totally love Phil, Mike, and Tony! Best . . . Rock . . . Band . . . Ever!
This tune is incredibly underrated. Staying on the brushes until the instrumental section and then BANG big drums open up is so pro. The song structure is perfect. The lead lyrics and call and response backing vocals are beautiful. The synth leads and backround filler patches, guitar work staying crisp and tight, not overbearing..genius.
Even the mix of the song itself is pure art. How everything stays very compact compared to when the sound field expands going into the solo sections is some amazing production work. Way to nail this one Genesis!
I love how it starts off with the drum machine tempo and ends with "real" drums and the swirl of Tony's keyboards ala 70's prog-rock Genesis. I believe that we all could have been happy with a few more years of that Genesis prog-rock stuff...
