So great to hear this again. I had the amazing privilege of being asked to record fiddle on this song on this legendary album!

It’s so very perfect: my late husband, Phillip, and I used to listen to this, and other Hothouse Flowers music - like “I’m Sorry” when we were shooting pool through the night at our favorite pool hall just outside Atlanta - back when songs like this brought back sad memories - so little did we know his time was to be cut so cruelly short in January of 2013. He wasn’t quite 53 and I hadn’t yet turned 50. Together we mourned the passing of Clarence Clements, of Pavarotti, and David Bowie, and of Warren Zevon. It was a blessing that we were as carefree as we were back then, despite both of us fighting fatal illnesses throughout our entire 7 years together. “Together” is the key. We were unstoppable as a team, and since you’ve been gone, Phillip, everything I do reminds me of you, the pain never eases, and all this music sounds like the auguring it truly was. I still have to look down behind me,because I’m certain that my shredded heart and ripped-out soul is leaving a trail of blood everywhere I go. Dammit.
