Every Infected Mushroom song feels like a journey. It sequentially paints the imagery of hardship and hard work, a small win, a loss, a state of self-reflection, then a big, ascending win, and then a “does it all even matter?”

One thing I love about IM, is how they make sounds out of emptiness. Like, they will leave a gap in an instrument's melody for a moment, where you would expect a note. But because they left that gap there in just the right way, supported by the notes surrounding it and from the other instruments, the missing note becomes a note of it's own. It's like instead of just having the regular notes, A-G with flats and sharps, there is an extra note: Null, with Null Sharp and Null Flat, notes of their own creation that are created out of the ether in the minds of those who listen.
