Him breathing out at the end gives me the shivers... a deep sigh

i wish i had known him... Just the same feeling i get when thinking about Nick Drake, only i have been alive 15 years at the same time as Jackson C Frank and that is just such a nagging feeling. I am so deeply moved by his words, his melodies, his voice... This song particularly. Can anyone shed some light on when and where this was recorded?

Picture this...Jackson under a spotlight alone on stage, a chair next to him guitar in hand playing this song, nothing else just him jut this music. Stark and real, enthralling and vivid. The feeling lasts. Now think of today’s music machine churning out pulp market driven images to sell products where music means nothing more than a vehicle to market perfume or clothes or other junk we are made to believe we  need to be happy. So sad so shallow. No line dancers needed for Jackson, no disco balls, or fancy clothes, just the music .. deep and clear and true.

Wow man, this artist, this emotion... It is so amazing that we have the ability to feel, hear, experience, convey emotions through song and lyric. It is a truly unique life we have, especially in this time and age

Even by J.C.F standards this song is absurdly good.

I was privileged to see him at Les Cousins, and thereafter his writing and playing informed and shaped my own meagre talent. I learnt to play his album back to front, but of course could never match his vocals.

Not all pleasure can be a commodity (good to sing when you a sober) and fame is ridiculous,  Thanks for sharing.  ;-)
