Probably my favorite song from 1960. Little Willie John knocked it out of the park with this one!!

Mr. Heyward I remember this music and this artist as a young girl of 10 years old. I still love his music. It's just too bad he's not here with us to sing it now. Thank you. Marge

Little Willie John is one of those that are almost forgotten but bring great feelings of a bygone era. He was TERRIFIC. I am now going to google him and see how long he was on this earth.

I remember when this song came out and I have enjoyed it ever since.

This is my song we sung this song in school in Queens New York with our music teacher Mrs D Brown and I told MY mom and grandma and that how I come to know about him he was and still is loved nobody can forget good talent and songs that make the feel good

One of my favorite songs. Sweet high shool memories.

I play little willie John every day such a joy to hear some one that can sign.

I remember as a teenager in my muscle car driving and listening to this song. This song would pump me up like a drug. I was so happy doing this. This was in the mid 1960s. Lots of great music in those days and in the 50s.

BROWN N WE HAD A GOOD GLEE CLUB ALSO THE DAYS THAT WE SHOWED APPRECIATION FOR OUR FOREFATHERS IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY BACK THEN. NOW THESE DAYS THEY TAKE EVERYTHING FROM OUR CHILDREN WHAT'S EVEN FUNNY THEY REPLACED THE MUSICIANS WITH FAKE SOUNDS AND VOICES ARE FAKE TO. NOT ABOUT KILLING N BEING DISRESPECTFUL, But ABOUT LOVE N UNITY N FEELING WHAT THE MUSICIANS ARE PLAYING THROUGH THE INSTRUMENT SO WE CAN FEEL GOOD THROUGH THE MESSAGE IN THE MUSIC TODAY WE HAVE NONE OF THAT ITS DISTURBING N DEFINITELY SAD THAT'S WHY I ONLY LISTEN TO THE OLDIES 50'S TO THE 80'S I CAN'T SUPPORT ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T DESERVE SUPPORT I DON'T LISTEN OR BUY TODAY'S MUSIC ITS WAY PAST WICKED IT'S ANIMALISTIC N DEMONIC HURTFUL DISRESPECTFUL. I believe the strings are members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (King Records' hometown). Just like Memphis (Stax) and especially Detroit (Motown), the local orchestra got a LOT of tape time at the city's R&B/Pop/Country recording studios. Motown's Funk Brothers were good friends with the DSO concertmaster and string contractors.
