actually after this song came out ambulance came faster. stating that they didn't want people calling a taxi. They don't give him credit but Flavor Flav probably saved a lot of lives with this tune.

After this song came out, kids from my school kept prank phoning 911 and singing this song to the dispatchers. We ended up having a huge assembly at school where emergency workers came in to tell us all about 911, explaining that 911 isn't a joke and that prank 911 calls could jeopardize lives. Public Enemy are my heroes for getting me to miss all of my morning classes at school that day! :)

The "Rage" sign was the name of a weekly mtv style video music clip show in Australia broadcast in the 90's from 6 to 9am..
Kids would wake up in the morning and watch rage. No internet, no mtv, it would show American music that you couldn't get in Australia.
