In the dead of night
She’ll come and take you away
Searing beams of light and thunder
Over blackened plains
She will find her way
Flying high through the night
She will hide your fate
As she takes your soul from under
And the blinding light of the castle fades
There is no escape
It’s the ending of your precious life
Your soul slipped away
It belongs to the Queen of the Reich
The Queen of the Reich
Yeah she’s coming for you
You’re fading away
Your life cast astray
A victim the beast shall obtain
The light will not shine
For you’ll die tonight at her shrine
And black is the last thing you’ll see
Over and over
Dreams of dying fill your head
It’s the sign of the cross
That you’ll find ahead
No one will answer
The light is fading away
Captive souls are screaming out in pain
There is no escape
It’s the ending of your precious life
Your soul slipped away
It belongs to the Queen of the Reich
You’re fading away, no, no, no
The Queen of the Reich
You’re slipping away, yeah
The Queen of the Reich
Fall 1984, I had just recently graduated HS in June of 83. My girlfriend was now a Senior at that same school. Picking her up one cool crisp Fall day. Students parking lot, leaning on the front of the black 1970 SS Nova, ripped to shreds no knees Levi 501's, snakeskin cowboy boots, black leather motorcycle jacket, mirror sunglasses, hair almost to waist. This song blasting from the 6x9 Clarions. You don't get but like a few moments in a life that feel like that one did. \m/
Fantastic riffs, vocal range and rhythm section, but the lyrics are horrific and reek of doom, eternal hellfire, and damnation. Dont plan on meeting dat queen - ever
When my dad moved to California in 2002, he left his entire CD collection to me, and that summer quickly turned into a saga of metal. Queensryche, Fates Warning, Metal Church, Savatage, Sanctuary, Metallica, Crimson Glory, Helloween, Iron Maiden, and more. I never forget popping this in for the first time.
Fuckin Awesome Classic jam! High school was a Weirdo cause I loved Metal. Queensryche was one of the band's that got me thru it!! Queen of the Ryche!!!!!! She's coming for you!!!
I was 13 yrs old, first concert ever Sept. 1983, about 30 of us rode the bus to get downtown. It was at the Sam Houston Coliseum (Houston). Picture this, lights go out, dark as shit and the intro begins and the only light on drops down on the lead singer in the middle of the stage and he begins to unleash that yell so damn loud (I still have vivid memories of it today) at the beginning and when the rest of the song kicks in the whole frigging place started rocking. The smoke was so thick it looked like a fog.Let the headbanging years begin. A lot of parties and concerts with my childhood friends. Good times!
