Listening to this song and Overfloater all day yesterday, and now again today. Woke up with Shadow on the Sun in my head. The tears just kept coming. Nearly all their songs remind me of losing both my parents by the time I was 21. I was raised by a hippie dad who I know would have loved Chris for his voice alone, though he probably would have preferred his acoustic stuff. But my mom -- she was a classically trained opera singer and a voice coach -- and she would have gone absolutely beserk over him, no holds barred. His vocal range alone would have blown her away and left her speechless. I would give anything to just watch her face listening to him sing ANY song. He would have become her absolute favorite singer, easily beating out Joan Sutherland and Pavarotti, lol. RIP to a true genius XO
