Hmm thats the on thing I'd say its not Funk more than anything else , though the album after this one " Chocolate Supa Highway did have some tunes with a more reggae vibe. Michaels current stuff deffo has a reggae sound to it but I've got to say compared to the 90s modern Spearhead suck ( and it hurts me to say that ! )

I was shopping with my kids, One of my sons asked, ”Can I borrow €20, Dad?” I gave him the money and he disappeared into a music shop. He came out a few minutes later with Spearhead’s ”Home” album and gave it to me, saying ”Happy birthday, Dad.” Love it!

Brilliant track. Michael came up to my group in a small bar after a concert in Munich in 1996, talked to us for a few minutes. Seminal. This was before they hit something resembling the mainstream. Kudos forever!

First saw Spearhead in the early 90s before the album Home was released. I went to the Metro in Chicago to see The Brand New Heavies and Spearhead opened. I could have care less if the Heavies ever came out. Now that's saying something! I couldn't wait for Home to come out but when it did I was at the Record store before it opened. I put in the CD player as soon as I hot home and this solidified them being my favorite band from the Heavies concert. Probably seen the live 20x. I no longer go to see them because the music has changed drastically over the years. I've seen The Fugees and Ben Harper open for Spearhead and Spearhead open for rap groups etc.
