The original group is no more. They SHOULD be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

When this album was released, Warner Bros. gave it big push. KMET-KM in L.A. really got behind the Persuasions, as jocks like Stephen Clean leaned hard on it. The Persuasions returned the favor--cutting juicy little a capella promos for each and every dee jay--including Dr. Demento--and the station itself. A great time and place for radio, to say nothing of fabulous singing.

Jery Lawson and the Pursuasions were geniuses in their own right. They have a unique ability to take a "white" song and make a "black" version of it while always respecting the original.
