It's great to see so many others recognize this song as the absolute classic that it is. And I'm presuming that the woman in the picture is the subject of the song? Flamingo seems like an apt metaphor.

Apathy is worth the price of admission alone for Kent's telling of attending an MC5 gig in a London pub with 2 men and a dog as the only audience. I kid you not, damned hysterical. Kudos to Kent for turning me on to so much good music in the 70's NME.

Be kind to yourselves, read Kent's Apathy For The Devil book. Also The Dark Stuff

Loved this song when it was released and still do, In Kent's book he claims "it escaped". He was working with the Only Ones but I do not know if they are on this.

i used to have this single - thanks for posting. he did some tracks with peter perrett of the only ones, at least one has come out on skydog (chinese whispers) but i cant find it... f anyone out there wanted to upload - go for it! It was around this time he was in love with Hynde so the comparisons are hardly surprising.

Was this really about Chrissie Hynde? I mean I love this song and diminished sevenths as much as anyone else but she kind of smoked it.
