My My My " what a heart felt song ".

I've always liked this recording as it tackles a very unusual lyrical approach for a pop song. A song about a guy who doesn't want to be drafted. I suppose I like it so much because I would have hated to do National Service myself, fortunately I was a couple of years too young to do in the UK. I certainly would have felt exactly this same as the singer if I'd had to do it. Towards the end, the voice of a sergeant comes in dishing out the orders to get in step, etc. This guy sounds a really nasty piece of work.

Heard tonight on the Bobby B DJ show..on XM radio....awesome and expressive touching song brings back precious memories of that era!

They sounded great Motown could have done something with them.

This is the second time listening to this So bizarre I had to record it and hear it more often,I know it is out of tune , hard to beleive that got past Gordy, I think this was pressed out of round
