We wasn't sleep in Tennessee on the Go-Go. They thought we moved slow down South but we had all that. E.U. Rare Essence, AM/FM, NE Groovers. And of course, Super CHUCK.

It seems like I used to go see them once a month for a while there in the early eighties. One time I went to see them at Univ. of Md. My friends and I were walking up some stairwell there and then a bunch of the TF guys were coming down at the same time. Suddenly a couple of them pointed at me and said, "Hey you're that white girl from UDC !!!" I said "Yeah, that's me !" I was flying high on that for months that some guys from one of my ( still) favorite bands actually recognized ME.

I was 15 years old around 1982 living in Sydney, Australia, when I first heard about go go music. An album called "Go Go Crankin" was featured on a Saturday night on (then) alternative radio station 2JJJ. From 10.00pm through to 2.00am they ran dance music programs, which was very rare in Australia at the time. The name of the program changed over the years from "The Black Music Show" to "The 12 inch Record Show" to the "Groove Train". I've LOVED go go ever since, especially Trouble Funk. I proudly wear TF t-shirts (imported from USA) around my home town, Canberra. I'm sure nobody knows about TF here - sad and tragic, really!!!

So many bands white and black have ripped off beats from Washington D.C Go-Go bands that all of the Go-Go Bands should pool their resources and sue everyone. Whole entire songs have built off of Go-Go beats. Pay up or shut up.

I’m honored to have played with this band and I replaced the original keyboard player Robert “Syke Dyke” Reed. I loved when I had to drop the bomb!!!!!
