I first heard this with more meaningful and lyrical words in French! Gondolier was the title! Got to like and respect Eydie after Don’t was go to strangers album and then finally gave hear to her vocal abilities!!!Thanks!!!

Never heard this before. Somehow it eluded me although Iwas an ardent radio listener during her prime. Eydie Gormet had no superiors andfew equals. She was really singing from the mountaintop onthis one! I love the all-male choir that was arranged for the orchestration, not frequently employedin recordings, the most glorious being the all-male choir thatJohnny Mathis suggested for his immortal recording of"Tonight," (Sondheim/Leonard Bernstein).
