At last my love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song
At last the skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped in clover
The night I looked at you
I found a dream that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to press my cheeks to
A thrill I’ve never known
You smiled and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
For you are mine at last
I found a dream that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to press my cheeks to
A thrill I’ve never known
You smiled and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
For you are mine at last, for you are mine at last

I wish I grew up in the time were this music was mainstream. This is soothing, so real, connecting to self. feel my mind at ease when listening to this
absolutely sublime...won't write about comparisons with Etta James' version(s) - nothing to compare - they both have their own kind of tenderness....both are excellent...
There was something I could not describe myself regarding Jimmy's singing technique and then I read someone describe it. And it was perfectly stated. Jimmy sings "behind the beat" and then in his own way catches up to it perfectly.
