This song is great but hearing it live is life changing

I think 'Green Mind' is my favorite Dinosaur Jr. record. Definitely my most oft listened to since my teen aged years.

My Younger Bro turned me on to this ...Love it. Im pushing 60

That solo....near the end.....uninterrupted notes.....and it gets cut and fades. Would love to hear just how long J. carried on. Pure musical bliss, and has been on my Life's Continuous Playlist since Green Mind was released. It's one of those songs that a casual listener would say "it sounds depressing". Umm, not quite. But I get it. This is one of those songs in which the melancholy is the uplift. Lyrically, J. Mascis nails the everyman's p.o.v. on dissolving relationships, a sharp contrast to say Robert Smith & The Cure's majestic wordplay and imagery to essentially describe the same situation. I love them both. I've been getting lost in this song for 30-some years. Soundtrack of My Life, absolutely.
