I’m your worn in leather jacket
I’m the volume in your fucked up teenage band
A pack of smokes and a six pack
I’m the dreams you had walking down the railroad tracks
You and Me.
I’m your first taste of romance
I’m your first broken heart on a Saturday night
Guys like us ain’t got no chance
But I’m the thing that keeps you and me alive
But not forever
So take me down the road
take me to the show
its something to believe in
that no one else knows
but don’t take me granted
I’m the blood on your guitar
I’m that wave you caught back in 1975
I’m as strong as a thousand armies
I’m as soft as pedal on a long stem rose
I am love
I’m with you when you’re born
You can take me when you die
With all the reasons why
But don’t take me for granted
This is probably the song that convinced me to fall in love with this band, to have that punk rock mentality while sending off a close friend and practically brother at the same time, and all with his own signature style of sound - Mike Ness is the USA's Lemmy Kilmister
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is the best song ever written EVER!!! And yes I know that its not the actual video because the speech he gives before the song is an intro to a song on the live DVD. This is the actual studio recording, and either way it still rocks.

I'd like to dedicate this song to my little brother who took me to a social distortion show months before he took his own life. Rest easy Casey, I'll see ya soon.
